Edocuments delivered a digital EDMS for the management of record documents to an auditable review process for the first stage of the infrastructure of a deep-sea port.
Laing O'Rourke, as JV partner employed Edocuments to provide a fully transparent solution for the management of the handover information comprising Health and Safety Files and Operating and Maintenance Manuals for the sub-contract and supply chain
The project was the first stage of a long term project and the Client Facilities Management (FM) team and Service providers wanted to ensure that the information could be accessed throughout the delivery phases and then transferred electronically to the Asset Management and Facilities Management Systems.
Early consultation the Clients FM team reassured them that the information being collated, checked and handed over would be in a flexible format as the CAFM software had not been chosen. By attending a number of review and training sessions we were able not only to demonstrate but also to reformat the data and templates based on their feedback with minimal effort and at no extra cost. The information was collated from a variety of sources; technical submissions and supply chain documentation, all information was presented for comment and approval using a web browser.
